I feel lucky to be able to say that I love my work.  It's an honor to collaborate with people for the purpose of improving their lives.  I seek to create a safe environment for my clients to become more genuine through connecting with their internal wisdom.  My style is eclectic, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and relational therapies.

I graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a master's degree in social work 1995, at which time I began working for the Devereaux Foundation.  While I was there, I treated adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties.  In 1997, I joined the Renfrew Center of Philadelphia, initially working in the admissions department, and eventually directing the intensive outpatient program.  I realized at that time that my passion was to work with college-aged women struggling with making the transition to independence.  I remained with the Renfrew Center until 2003, and then took a job with the Belmont Center as a staff therapist in their eating disorders day treatment program.

Shortly after starting at Renfrew I began a private practice in the Philadelphia area, specializing in women's issues with a particular focus on eating and mood disorders.  I also began facilitating DBT skills training groups at that time and continue to do so. My primary areas of specialty are eating disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, and borderline personality disorder
